Production of foundation blocks by vibration compaction and methods for their use

24.10.2016

One of the most popular building elements is the foundation blocks. Their application is diverse – the construction of basement walls, the construction and strengthening of aprons, the erection of walls for industrial and residential buildings, laying the strip foundation.

Foundation blocks are convenient for installation. Smooth and parallel surfaces allow the construction of structures of various configurations. Thanks to their versatility and convenience, foundation blocks have become an integral part of construction

But still, the main purpose of FBS is to lay foundations.

With FBS blocks, the process of laying the foundation is quick. Their cost is more attractive than analogues. In addition, the foundation blocks are durable and frost-resistant. Blocks can be used on any type of soil, but the optimum soil is with a low moisture content.

The general requirements for the production of foundation blocks are described in GOST 13579-78. The standard provides for the manufacture of blocks of heavy concrete, as well as equipping products with specially embed mounting loops, of hot-rolled reinforcement of A-I or A-II class.

When comparing several methods for the production of FBS blocks, the most advanced technology for manufacturing concrete blocks is vibration compaction. It is used in installations manufactured by NEMP Company. The equipment for the production of foundation blocks allows you to produce up to 120 blocks per shift. Blocks have a clear geometry and fully comply with GOST. One operator serves the installation.

Let’s consider the technology for the production of blocks by vibration compaction at NEMP equipments in more detail.

The finished mixture is loaded into the receiving hopper of the machine, and then fed into the mould. Mounting loops are laid in the locking device. After that, concrete block making machine is turned on and the mixture is compacted. After 3 – 4 minutes, the moulding is completed. The mould rises and the machine for the production of foundation blocks moves to carry out the next moulding. The use of concrete mixture with a low water-cement ratio allows you to get a durable and frost-resistant foundation block.

Foundation blocks are a cost-effective, versatile building material. Today, their production is relevant and in demand. NEMP Company offers to purchase equipment for the production of blocks with a complete set of moulds, allowing to produce the most common standard sizes of FBS blocks, in accordance with the GOST requirements.
